Na Koa Wounded Warrior and Gold Star Family regatta

Learn more

The Zero79 Foundation is raising funds to take 10 family members of fallen commandos to Hawaii for the Na Koa Wounded Warrior and Gold Star Family regatta on August 17th, 2024.

The Na Koa Wounded Warrior and Gold Star regatta is an annual event to recognise the sacrifices of families of the fallen and commemorate their loved ones who lost their lives in service.

The families will spend seven days in Waikiki with U.S families of the fallen and compete in Outrigger Canoe racing, the national team sport of Hawaii.

This group will be the second group of Australian Gold Star Families to be recognised by the U.S Gold Star Foundation, where their loved ones will be remembered and honoured, assisting families in their healing.
Follow Zero79 Foundation socials or website for updates on families attending and training leading into the event.

the terry campese foundation

The Terry Campese Foundation (TCF) is a not-for-profit on a mission to build brighter futures for young people.

Everyone deserves the opportunity to become the best possible version of themselves, but sometimes mindset, circumstances or lifestyle can get in the way.

TCF Focuses on equipping young people with confidence, and self-worth and resilience.

The Zero79 Foundation is proud to support the Terry Campese Foundation and will be playing a part to assist in their upcoming Special Forces Challenge on the 17th and 18th of February 2024.

The 2024 Special Forces Challenge

This is a challenge that takes everyday people and pushes them to their limits all in the name of raising money to build brighter futures for young people.

Run by an elite team of ex-military personnel, 30 recruits will be put through a series of gruelling physical and psychological activities for 30 hours across two days.

In the lead up to the challenge, recruits will compete to raise as much money as possible as sponsorship for their involvement, with ‘special treatment’ planned by our military personnel for the highest and lowest fundraisers.

Australia day memorial cup

Zero79 Foundation members attended the Wandering Warriors Memorial Cup in Brisbane on Australia Day to support this amazing organisation. Next year, we’re excited to play a larger role in this incredible day.

Following the game, our Konnect event brought together current and former operators and their families for socialising and reconnection. This event facilitated meaningful connections, strengthening the commando network.

Special thanks to Erynn and Taylah Langley for attending and forming connections with the commando community. Engaging and supporting the families of the fallen is at the core of our mission, and we look forward to extending this support to more families in the future.

The event also provided an opportunity for the Special Operations Command Force, Family, and Veteran Lead to build relationships with the families of the fallen and former serving operators.

Konnect events like this lie at the heart of the Zero79 Foundation. They offer chances to reconnect, foster relationships, and fortify our network, delivering tangible benefits to our community.

Never Forgotten

Zero79 Foundation’s support of Josie and Daniel has been beyond amazing. In August 2023, Zero 79 invited them to be a part of the Na Koa Wounded Warrior Canoe Regatta in Hawaii. It allowed Josie and Daniel to be a part of a truly special experience, where they were able to honour their father, Tim Aplin. If it weren’t for Zero 79 Foundation and the donations from various institutions, fundraising events and the generosity of people, Jos and Dan would never have had this opportunity. We are forever grateful for their support
